Teach Me Tuesdays: Hades, Don’t Bore Me to Death

“When Pluto got demoted to a dwarf planet Hades just had a good chuckle carrying on his duties as king of the Underworld.” – Unknown

It’s time to deep dive into one’s personal subconscious or unconscious so to speak. We’re going to traverse the Underworld today in a round about way so make sure you come well equipped for some unusual analysis of which I tend to specialize or rather speculate quite often in.

It’s a blissful day when I realize some of the websites I was using for underlined hyperlink text references have remedied their problems which I’d previously been a wee bit frustrated about.

The frustration arises from the simple fact that providing resources to my blog followers/readers is actually a bit rough to track down or come by. The task can in fact become tedious, arduous, and very time consuming.

I suppose if I’d said this before some would find reason to see my rambles as less of a negative or whining thought pattern realizing or perhaps empathizing with my exasperation towards my bad luck at the time!

None the less carry on with what I’ve worked up to write for you today and please enjoy the scavenger hunt provided with the underlined hyperlink text as always! Don’t forget some clues are hidden in the image captions…

It probably seems of little value to others, but there are always pitfalls to the form of writing that I do. Hunting and gathering to share with you being one of those events! We assume trouble only lurks around the corners when we hunt or gather in the real world, but even online there are some pitfalls to contend with as well as prepare for.

For example, today I harvested some of our beans in the garden which was primarily of the purple variety. But with the rain we’ve had recently mosquitoes have been rather hellacious.

I am covered in welts on my arms that itch and are unsightly. As these critters spread dis-ease it’s not unlike avoiding the traps of online interweb searches sending me to places that seek to infect my laptop.

The better guests of my day in the garden were the tiger swallowtail butterfly and hummingbird who used my zinnias as an all you can eat buffet! I don’t see either/or I suppose as others do. It’s definitely not in my perceptions to ascribe only through the lenses of happy versus sad, black versus white, male versus female, and so forth.

When I first began blogging I spoke about how fed up I was with the Hegelian Dialectic and also Divide and Conquer as philosophical adjuncts which we still must abide by. My belief being that it’s time we move onto new less limiting concepts about our life experiences.

How many of us are relatively familiar with the mythos of Demeter and Persephone to remember a little ditty about a rather infamous group of seeds from a pomegranate? And how many after yesterday’s reference to the fixed stars for my astrology study remember my mentioning about Scorpio with the tarot trump Death?

Pomegranate Arabic Part/Lot

We’re adventuring on this scavenger hunt as a team to seek clues! This stems from my looking today at Arabic Parts/Lots to find one entitled Pomegranate which is arrived at by the formula Ascendant plus Jupiter minus Sun. The solution to the equation being my 2nd House somewhere roughly between Mars and Venus degrees when we really hone in on the wheel/chart given of Scorpio at 6°.

Our 2nd House has many interpretations including those which are also often overlooked. Emotions, our ability to earn, our social reputation/standing, and the reflection of our family are all found within this house in terms of how we accumulate or amass wealth/fortune.

This is not your career or profession, but rather it reflects if you learned to correctly save, budget, and manage debts. Whatever falls within the 2nd House takes on the undertones of a personal and psychological value we attach.

From this vantage point I think now would be a rather auspicious time to explore Persephone as an archetype by exploring her mythology before we likewise explore some details in the symbolism of the pomegranate. Would you like to join me on this little trek?

I’m not surprised to find an Alice in Wonderland reference in my search at all. Much of these are videos so I would advise that while it’s interactive you bookmark the videos or blog post for future reference if you lack the time to enjoy them at present.

Persephone as an Archetype:

“I’m like Pluto. All my relationships end up plutonic, and I don’t even have to planet.” – Unknown

A little food for thought could be assessed here after all Pluto is also a reference for Hades. As mentioned yesterday also in the discussion of the fixed stars I focused upon the generational aspects of Uranus for the tarot trump The Star stating I was born in 1979.

You can learn a little more about my generational Pluto as well as recognize that for me personally on the Western/Tropical natal sphere this was my 12th House of Libra.

What we know of the 12th House is that there is a huge connection with the subconscious and unconscious. What we ignore is that it focuses upon solitude, emancipation, sympathy, unhappiness, endings, and divine knowledge.

This is a placement for detachment being very significant for those on any spiritual path often influencing ashrams, meditation centers, and the unseen realms of dreams, secrets, fears, and an inferiority complex.

Ah, the pomegranate and it’s many meanings. In Arabic we know of this food as ar-Rumm through the Quran as a reward awaiting in Paradise due to it’s many uses in cooking and medicine.

Muslims unlike other mythologists or cultures saw the seeds as a sign of a sustainer. We can find mention of the pomegranate in the Quran 55:66-69 referenced as the Compassionate.

We will find more references in the Quran 6:141 as a reminder of sustenance on Earth referenced as Livestock. All these mentions speak to how the core of seeds are compacted in a layer which resembles a honeycomb.

In Urdu pomegranate was known as انار for its pulp like tissue and leathery skin. The taste is often described as sweet and sour while being an acidic food. Pips along with this outer skin are rich with antioxidants as well as antibacterial properties.

This degree asks if one has the resolve to strike it rich by setting out on new courses of discovery or if they have an attitude of already feeling abundant. Sabian symbols use the reference of a gold rush, but we can consider that the term rush references also what grows near or in water utilized for weaving baskets in a cross thatch style.

All 6° symbols are imbued with an element of construction where it is necessary to make something durable and secure the same way we would construct infrastructure such as a bridge. If we work with the correct tools/materials we can engineer successful endeavors.

A dancer with eight arms.

Each and every dimension carries with it a path to follow and a way to become fulfilled within that channel. It is human nature to restrict yourself to one dimension or perhaps two at a time. But nature is no longer enough within the evolving matrix in this planet. Here is the departure point and the mutational edge. The willingness and capacity to develop simultaneously in all eight primary dimensions.

Bearing this seed is the most sacred and high level of tasks. You are being ushered into limitless vistas within. All the new capacities are arising at the same time from every side and all can be creatively combined into an entirely new way of being. But it takes a life force that is disciplined, harnessed, and mastered. Even in the initial stages this calls for absolute dedication.

If you become overly impressed by yourself the juices are cut off and everything freezes. But as you learn to cut through all images whatsoever the fount again supplies boundless vital spark to orchestrate the impossible. Evolutionary breakthroughs arise through the physical organism of those individuals who have prepared accordingly.

Here is the greatest display of inward ability that can be imagined. May the highest Gods/Goddesses speed you along your finest quest for perfect embodiment.

“If the prefix “Pluto” means wealth and the suffix “theist” means belief or worship of a deity then what do you call someone who worships money above all else?” – Unknown

When we attempt to communicate that which is subtle and ineffable we come to the realization that we need to move slowly so that what we are communicating can be assimilated. Our overlighting awareness inspires us to synthesize and assimilate the divergent energy streams in which we live so that we may harmoniously share our existence with others in a mutually nourishing manner

We elevate ourselves and then becoming attuned to that new level of awareness seek the most captivating ways of expressing our insights so as to enhance their wonder. Synthesizing so many energies together we finally learn to do this in an increasingly cool, placid, and clear manner. Work with guardian angels Yelahiah and Mumiah as well as daimons Shax and Andromallus.

Daimon Shax ties to the Nine of Swords, Moon, Purslane, and Gemini. This daimon is a gift giver with a hitch to what is actually on offer. Before one gets excited they should quickly understand that this is not material gains.

You will obtain something that you’ve had your eye on achieving. Someone beneficial enters your life coming to your aid. Shax’s specialties include assisting with attaining one’s higher self as well as being an aid with the skills of skrying, tarot, mirrormancy, rune casting, and hydromancy respectfully.

Daimon Andromallus is in correspondence with the Ten of Cups, Mars, Dragon’s Blood, and Pisces. This daimon protects your home, family, vehicle, and business from a variety of forms of larceny. Many work with Andromallus to learn how to wisely navigate life’s many twists and turns.

This daimon is particularly worked with to right a wrong when one feels inflicted with an injustice. Some believe this daimon operates from some rather strong value systems. Generally this implies that to work with Andromallus you best have your morals/ethics in order first! Some utilize this daimon when the other person with which they may be negotiating can’t be trusted.

We have two powerful fixed stars attached with this degree for further reference. We would be exploring Gacrux and Pálida in Crux the Crucifix at this juncture. This constellation was known differently in the distant past before it became Christianized.

Gacrux was originally a guttaral word suggesting cross purposes and energies in conflict. Really this is a simple reference to Gamma Crux. One can then begin to wonder about gamma brainwaves as well.

Pálida derives from Latin pallidus to reference that which is ashen or pallid. This matches the Portuguese word as well meaning the Pale One. Ultimately this star offers the energies of a person who will persevere against hardships in their life.

Overall the constellation itself represents cardinal virtues identified as justice, prudence, temperance, and fortitude. Greeks particularly reference a hinge where a door swings and is always moved seeing the term καρδία as a symbol of our Heart chakra for it is the heart which governs and moves the whole person the same as a door might represent a turning point in one’s life.

If you have anything lying upon this degree work with Fire Quartz expressing that you hold boundless energy promoting vitality and confidence while gaining attention and manifesting your goals into reality.

The focus of this placement is that through exploration you will gain wealth for yourself endeavoring to help others at the same time through your fortune. The affirmation is I invite prosperity into my prospective future.

May your Tuesday be otherworldly and well healed! 😊💕

Mushroom ravioli with spinach, olive oil, and garlic/onion powder plus a green kiwi/blackberry fruit salad. Also you see pictured a gluten free apple bread which my mom baked and our newest supplement in our collection!

PS: We received our supply of Solomon’s Seal today thankfully. I think it will be helpful with my trying to heal from previous ankle injuries and the after effects of gabapentin, tramadol, and cipro. Perfect timing with the Full Harvest Moon which pointed me in this direction!

Self Examination Saturdays: Which Greek God/Goddess is Representing You Right Now?

Most people pursue pleasure with such breathless haste that they hurry past it.” – Soren Kierkegaard

Use the underlined hyperlink text to discover and inquire into an archetype that I did not expect to study today.

This was the question I asked of a specific personal tarot reading because I’d already done personality tests for the Greek Gods/Goddesses and surprisingly this time my result also resonated to my Valentine’s Day blog post in February 2022 as I received Eros whose Roman counterpart is Cupid which I charted the asteroid of during the holiday. My previous matches for the Greek God/Goddess was Apollo and Athena.

Today is a good day to do a little research on Eros and to plot the asteroid briefly into an astrology chart. Me thinks I will try a Vedic Age Harmonic Chart since that will bring the most resonant energy for the present. I have one other blog post where I spoke to the differences between Eros and Thanatos as the drives which propel us through life. Let’s look a little closer into what Eros has to teach us.

Eros like Cupid issues arrows of love which has often also been depicted in Dante’s Paradiso throughout the cantos to symbolize not just love, but perfection be it Platonic or mystical. Some have argued this is another form also of Adonis whereby we find many religions including Protestant faiths had a tendency to reject Eros.

For example, Milton was divorced of the Court of Love code believing it was closely related to the sin of Eve in the Garden of Eden. It is here that a great many religious dogmas began to reject the institution of marriage.

The problem with this is that it also divorces Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine which is why we see problems within religious dogma where we have no balance/harmony between God/Goddess creating a schism in not just ourselves, but in all relationships.

“Every woman is strong, some are just quieter about it.” – Lori King

Now don’t get me wrong there is also the Hindu mythology of Kamadeva who did not survive Shiva’s Third Eye chakra being reduced to ashes. This is best illustrated through the Sacred India Tarot of the Four and Five of Lotuses. I was reading this particular entry and shocked yet again to see Magha mentioned albeit as a month in the Hindu festivals being born in the Magha nakshatra.

The problem with idealization is that the object of affection or the beloved is robbed and depersonalized regardless of gender. The beloved functions as a mere actor fulfilling the desires of the author/poet. They in essence have no agency which reminds me even further of my blog post on the problems with Sleeping Beauty. Idealization is a one way relationship devoid of internal substance.

Will the beloved be elevated to spiritual/ethereal ideal or function as the mirror of the author’s/poet’s projection of narcissistic ideal. Many modern concepts view this as masochism when the beloved has been reduced to servitude as the beloved has no autonomy. Shakespeare illustrated that the beloved engulfed by passion often carried a type of suffering.

This is of no surprise for the etymological definition of the word passion is taken from Latin passio and passus or patior all of which mean suffering, suffered, and I suffer. Proto-Indo-European uses peh for to hurt and Old English feond as devil/enemy while Gothic utilized faian for to blame. We see this in how it is likewise defined as an intensely powerful form of love and extreme hatred (mental disorders or madness).

As this happens to state what exactly are we trying to constellate?! It’s usually seen as an aspect of Pluto believe it or not in some astrology schools. A planet which stood for sexuality, eroticism, death, and seriously explosive crises where everything is reconstructed upon a brand new foundation.

I did find a PDF describing the healing power of this archetype. When I read some of this I simply shoulder shrug though. What else can one do when the answer to the question I asked of the tarot “Which Greek God/Goddess is Representing You Right Now?” turns up the reply of Eros. Not exactly what I personally expected for a reply. I sat there with a kind of blank stare.

Needless to say we will find asteroid Eros (433) in my Vedic Age Harmonic Chart hanging out in my 7th House Libra at 27° retrograde representing attraction through a soul depth level of love. While many mistake it for purely “sexual” this asteroid shows what one yearns for in terms of transcendental, divine, and passionate unions with another.

The best thing to do is to compare your chart to that of a potential partner looking for personal planets or angles in their chart that will touch the degree of your Eros signifying a fated love connection.

Age Harmonic Chart for Asteroid Eros

Asteroid Eros is sextile Sun and Mercury, biquintile Moon, and semisextile Pluto. Libra is Venus ruled adding another layer to this. Age Harmonics are a personal chart similar to a harp being played. Pluck a string and see how it resonates/vibrates thereby determining your unique frequency or tone. If partnered you will see how well the two of you make music together.

Generally speaking this is a placement ideal for spending time with loved ones while imbuing one with good social skills for making new friends. Mercury rules communication while Venus rules love and relationships therefore one should strike a balance between friendship and diplomacy.

One will enjoy pleasant environments having a strong aversion to anything coarse/aggressive. There is a drawback to this placement not unlike my Enneagram of 9w1 in that we avoid confrontation therefore we may miss out on challenging experiences which will strengthen our character. If necessary we seek the fighting skills of one who can defend us enlisting their help.

As someone who will be more sensitive than others we seek out laughter, games, and learning experiences that are unconventional. We unfortunately attract a lot of unhealthy people to us who wish to possess us which if not careful relationships can turn sadomasochistic if we don’t also set boundaries learning to simply say “no.”

With Eros in Libra love begins with the mind, but when we’re unappreciated in any relationship we become resentful and move on quickly. In the 7th House we best express ourselves in one to one relationships.

This degree best displays as the message contemplation, harmony, and peaceful surroundings renew my spirit when worked with Black Jade focusing on enjoying travel while encouraging others to broaden their horizons through a change of perspective. The affirmation is I accept that I’m made in the image of the Divine Masculine/Feminine.

Nothing is set in stone here and everything can be changed. The chart holder is refreshingly open and can help others to make changes they may have never thought themselves capable of making. They are difficult though to pin down and can frustrate other people sometimes by their lack of definiteness and certainty. Keeping options open and alive is their forte.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A black leopard beneath a full moon.” This degree has an intense awareness of its own emotional needs being determined to get them fulfilled. This only becomes negative when the needs it is aware of are not the true life sustaining ones, but rather those that fulfill a dysfunctional agenda.

There is a great awareness here of selfishness. Both one’s own as well as the selfishness of others. How much better to be aware of this than to deny or repress those impulses!

If this degree can realize the great spiritual importance of giving to others, and that karmically this is the only way to ultimately gain self fulfillment then the tremendous power of desire it has can be harnessed and used to further the evolution of both self and others. Work with guardian angel Anauel and daimon Andras.

Daimon Andras is associated with the Six of Swords, Moon, Amber, and Sagittarius. Working with Andras is akin to work with any psychopomp where one is taught to properly work with the dying/dead, shapeshifting, overthrowing existing hierarchies, and confrontation with those that choose to “bully” you. If you’re wise remember that silence sometimes is the best weapon. Be very accurate, polite, and observant.

One of the best descriptions of Andras would be to learn about Eris in Greek mythology or to locate her in your astrology chart. I’ve spent ample time learning about her. Think discord and strife. When plotted briefly in my Vedic Age Harmonic Chart separate from Eros you will find Asteroid Eris in my 9th House of Sagittarius.

I won’t be going into the nitty gritty details at this time. This placement is teaching from one’s personal wisdom while being open minded to various opinions. We’re at odds with cultural norms seeking expansion through foreign travel, higher mind, and freedom.

Dogmatic indoctrination and limitations of religion cause us to seek our own personal truths. We’re called digital nomads who take up online instruction, writing/blogging, and public speaking.

The fixed star on this degree is Delta Centaurus in Centaurus the Centaur. The origin of the word centaur is found within the words cento (to goad/prick) and tauros (bull) implying cattle herders. The Greeks used the word kenteo to imply goading, urging, and driving on.

While many confuse centaurs with the half human half horse or Chiron mythologies it actually is defining the occupation of cowboys rounding up herds of cattle while on horseback known as cowpokes. The Hebrew letter associated with this placement is Lamed as a cattle prod/shepherd’s staff.

Have a super out of this world Saturday! 💖

Tarot of the Day Thursdays: The High Priestess Meets the Spider Woman

The High Priestess from The Hermetic Tarot – The Princess of the Silver Star – Gimel (Camel) and Spider Woman Archetype

Let’s take a more nuanced journey today through the healing energies of the High Priestess and the Spider totem via our underlined hyperlink text.

We’re graced today by the High Priestess and the Spider Woman archetype. The High Priestess is ruled by the Moon and via the Hermetic Tarot is known as The Priestess of the Silver Star displayed as adorned in pure Divine Feminine light of the lunar energies seated as the Eternal Virgin. The lunar energies veil the spirit of Truth. At her breast is a lyre, the law of Artemis the Huntress, and the path of Gimel which traverses Kether to Tiferet. Taken another way this is the path of mystical consciousness through transcendental consciousness.

We are encouraged to engage with our intuition and to feel the answer to our questions at this time in a manner which may not provide an easy to digest explanation. Dig deeper, take a step back, and acknowledge what you literally see happening in front of you at this time. What is actually there? What lies beneath? Is the answer obvious or is it subverted creating a heaviness for some or all parties involved at this time.

The High Priestess

The Spider Woman speaks to our need to weave a life, to create mandalas, and to create our universe. When stretched North-South and East-West our work begins by spinning threads which many regard as the symbol of our Matrix system or Maya in an illusory reality within the world of our senses.

The Hopi saw this archetype as an Earth Goddess and Spider Grandmother while the Ojibwe spoke to a help meet of collective humanity who inspired mothers to weave dreamcatchers for their loved ones to filter out negative energies.

The guidance at this time is to recover your creative impulses, defend yourself by setting adequate boundaries, remember it is not your role to solve the affairs of other’s, release any feelings of guilt, and get in touch with your inherent instinctual nature by honoring your bodily sensations.

Most importantly you’re invited to be spontaneous reconciling yourself with your desires and fears while encouraging yourself not to try and meet expectations that aren’t your responsibility. Your job is not to dress up to try and fit in; stop pretending and allow yourself to just be!

Spider Woman

For me I’m learning a lot more about somatic yoga personally as I have chronic pain after my foot injuries/surgery. This is a form of re-connection to the sensate body because I struggled sometimes with “groundedness.” What can help is to notice one’s current physical comfort. You can sit in a chair and notice your overall experience by moving your feet over the floor and connecting with it.

The next step is to feel your back connected with the bottom of the chair which supports you. Take a few moments to get comfortable with the chair supporting you and the floor stabilizing you. We often don’t take the time to actually connect this way with our environments.

Look around to notice something that feels resourceful such as trees outside the window, a piece of art on the wall, or a calming color on the floor or walls around you. This helps you ground by settling your entire nervous system.

Another beneficial practice is to recall a time within the last 24 hours when you felt most like your true self. Explore this event in detail noticing what happens in your body. For example, do you feel less anxious and more calm or serene? Then recall a time within the last 24 hours when you felt most like the person you would like to be.

Explore this event also in detail noticing what happens in your body. For example, do you feel tensed muscles or a change in heart beat, breathing, or body temperature? This helps you ground by returning you to your true north.

Solar Arc SAD Chart for Asteroid Weaver

I’m briefly looking at asteroid Weaver today for a little more “spidey” insight. I’m doing this through a Solar Arc Direction or SAD chart. You’ll notice this asteroid was in my 9th House and has moved to my 10th House of Leo therefore the stories I wish to tell will encompass a combination of philosophy, spirituality, and greater wisdom through the expansive lens of Jupiter.

You will find me exploring culture, language, and social structures in my free time. This is now moving into the house of vocation where I take cognizant strides towards dealing with that which I adore or care for. 10th House is meant to be not an odd run of the mill job that just pays the bills, but our dream job where we desire accomplishment and advancement.

It is the 6th House which governs the common 9-5 jobs being ruled by Virgo while the 10th House is ruled by Saturn. This placement creates fundamental conditions where we can develop a steady foundation to venture forward upon. It is the placement of becoming an expert in your field while seeking to make a positive impact on others.

Asteroid Weaver is at Leo 10° with Mars sextile Moon, quintile Saturn, and semisquare Chiron. We’re the kind of people who desire balance and harmony in our relationships and have strong wills. Our creative spark makes us enthusiastic about life desiring happiness and success in life.

Our talents lie in sorting, categorizing, and creating order in our lives often having a strong sense of meeting deadlines. We struggle to act spontaneously as we are more responsible and can appear unemotional from time to time. Our sense of self is challenged by our ego structure and we’re often at odds with it.

We feel an unfathomable degree of loneliness. This aspect to Saturn is what is often a metaphoric Sun/Son on the cross image symbolizing a psychological aspect of the Sun Chiron semisquare. We generally cut ourselves off from the material world in order to attain to higher pleasure in the spiritual world.

The chart holder taps into worlds and realities that are beyond the scope of usual human perception. What they gain from this can be used to enrich the knowledge and understanding of people if they are open to their insights. The problem is they may not believe the chart holder because they aren’t perceiving what they’re perceiving.

The way to resolve this dilemma is to express your ideas in a way that is not so forthright through a form that is more acceptable to others. Another option is to use your insights and ideas to further yourself without being concerned about what others believe or won’t take in.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A man putting olive oil all over his body.” This degree is about making the connections between self and the outside world smoother so it can move through the world with greater ease minimizing the negative reactions which might come towards themselves from other people.

They have a strong need to be independent and true to self, but to do so in a non-abrasive way in the hopes that their special gifts will be accepted as much as possible. They have an ability to slip out of situations which are unnecessarily limiting or which don’t allow them to contribute what they uniquely have to offer. Slipping and sliding through the world makes life easier minimizing the need for compromise.

Work with guardian angel Yeialel and daimon Ipos.

Daimon Ipos will refer us to the Five of Cups, Jupiter, Yarrow, and Scorpio. Working with Ipos helps one become more decisive and courageous. If there is negativity attached to your aura it will be removed while you learn how to engage in using your subtle bodies’ natural defenses against psychic or emotional attack. This daimon assists with confidence, eloquence, self development, and helps you make wiser decisions.

Work with Cavansite spreading a message of appreciation towards natural and Divine cycles while focusing on sharing with friends and family the ideals of simplicity, beauty, love, and nature in its purest form. Affirm your beliefs in timelessness each day.

I also should note that I mistakenly forgot to remove my keys from my apron for my part time cosmetology job. Needless to say the Universe/Cosmos key and my key for our other franchise store got a “cleansing/wash” with the dirty laundry.  That was not intentional; I honestly forgot I needed to pull my keys out of my apron first then turn on the machine.

Have a thought provoking Thursday! Sending you good vibes! 👋🏻💓
